Meet The Staff 


Brandi 
Certified Surgical Assistant

Brandi has been in Oral Surgery for almost two decades with the majority of that time with Dr. Yamada.  Brandi moved to San Diego in 1998 after completing dental assisting school and quickly earned her certification as an Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Assistant (CALOMSA). In addition to helping patients overcome their anxiety about surgery, Brandi enjoys helping patients understand their oral health needs. When she isn’t working, Brandi enjoys spending time with her, husband, Kyle, her daughters Drew and Emma, and their rescue dog Koto.


Brenda
Certified Surgical Assistant

Brenda is a native Californian and was born and raised in San Diego.  After high school she joined the Air Force where she became a dental assistant. Once Brenda’s military service was completed, she decided to pursue Oral Surgery.  Brenda is a certified Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Assistant (CALOMSA), has been with Dr. Yamada for over 15 years and enjoys watching patient’s confidence grow with their new smile. When she isn’t working, Brenda enjoys spending time with her husband, Tony and their adorable cat Princess Diana.

 

Jillian
Certified Surgical Assistant

Jillian was born in the Sacramento area and received her bachelor’s degree in Biology at UC Davis. After college, she moved to San Diego and joined our practice in November of 2020. Jillian loves getting to know her patients, is very passionate about providing the best patient care and is a certified Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Assistant (CALOMSA). When Jillian isn’t working, she enjoys running, exploring new places, and spending time with her sister and friends.

 

Melissa
Front Office Administrator

Melissa was born and raised in San Diego.  She has a bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration and is currently working towards her Master’s in Business Administration.   She has worked in the medical field for over 9 years in specialties such as Dermatology and Infertility and values keeping up with continuing education.  Family is most important to her and she spends most of her free time with her husband and children.  Her goal as a front office administrator is to build long-lasting relationships with our patients and provide a comfortable and informative experience.
